Welcome to my newly launched website! Handmade treasures was created in 2026. It all started from making little earrings on vinted and Etsy to start raising money for my daughter Annie. When Annie was born, she started having uncontrollable seizures, at one point up to 20 a day and over 15 minutes long. This was very rare for a newborn and no doctor had any answers as all tests come back clear. eventually she was put into a coma and sent to great Ormond street hospital to prevent brain damage. as a mum of 3, this was the hardest thing I ever went through. I also have my 2 boys and juggling it all made me break down. after endless scans, tests and confused doctors, Annie finally got her diagnosis at 4 months old. She was diagnosed with an incredibly rare genetic disease called STXBP1 and there is no cure. we was told she may never walk or talk and there was only 2 other children in the uk with the disease. There is no charity or foundation in the uk and no awareness at all. I started doing research and found there is other parents out there in the world. I started making handmade earrings, pens and keyring to help raise money for Annie to have the best quality of life but it was also like therapy for me as I enjoyed it so much and the support was unbeliavable, so I decided to create handmade treasures and here we are!
